My White Hat Initiation

Post lunch, on our way to Mall of Asia last Saturday:

Me: How many times’ve you had White Hat yogurt?
Him: Four? Four.
Me: WHAT?!? FOUR?!?
Him: Yah. Everytime I’m in MoA I get 2 cups.
Me: Daya (unfair). You never took me to White Hat. (pouts)
Him: But we’re already on our way to White Hat!

Donned in a mini dress (aka. wedding guest ensemble), 4 inch stilettos, and gunmetal & teal eyeshadow, I found myself grinning like a lost little girl in a candy shop yogurt parlor when I was handed this:

Large White Hat Yogurt with Muesli

…and Ube (was it jelly?) and Sesame Mochi!

Where do I even begin breaking down how good my first cup is? The 98% fat free (!!!) authentic Italian frozen yogurt is as smooth as promised. The texture is without a doubt 10/10 for me. The overall yogurt taste is rather exquisite (I believe I used that word a couple of times in between scoops). I love the tangy-sweet balance that appeals to both adults and kids. The toppings Eric Chao, marketing manager of The White Hat, suggested were interesting. Their ube is definitely not like the usual ube halaya. I won’t dare get another cube if they taste and feel alike. It tastes and feels so delicate I can even afford to pair it with freshly processed vanilla bean gelato. The sesame mochi’s something I’d like my nieces and nephews to try soon. It is gently flavored and pleasantly chewy, I bet they’ll enjoy every bit of it. The muesli? Mmmmm. Its texture gave my smooth, chewy, and flavorful cup a wonderful dimension.

BURPPP *excuse me*

As I type this 3 days after my first cup, I still am quite puzzled what toppings will I pair with the already good on its own yogurt from the 21+ toppings bar! Peaches, homemade cheesecake, and granola? Cranberries and almonds? Choco balls, walnuts, and strawberries? *sigh* Tough call to beat my first cup!
