Fun Banana Cake Recipe
- 3-4 ripe bananas, mashed until smooth
- 2.5 cups white flour
- 1 Tbs. baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2/3 cup 2 percent milk
- ½ cup chopped nuts of choice, if desired
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan or two round cake pans. In a small mixing bowl, sift together the baking soda, flour, and salt. Set this bowl aside for future use.
Next, in a larger mixing bowl, use and electric mixer and cream the white sugar, brown sugar, and butter together until it becomes light and fluffy. Continue beating and add the eggs. After the eggs, add the bananas and milk. Mix until well combined.
Next, add the flour in small batches to the butter mixture until you have used it all and everything is mixed well. Gently stir in the nuts, if using. Pour all of the batter into your pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until done. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a half hour before deciding to frost.
