Cotton Sheets – A Worthwhile Investment

If you are on the mission of buying a bed sheet to adorn your bed then you should be prepared to face the questions that crop up when you visit any departmental store. The retailer would be all set with queries such as which fabric? What price range? Which hue? So on and so forth.

Now the most important question is which material should one opt for? The different types of sheets available are cotton sheets, polyester sheets, silk sheets, flannel sheets etc. Among these, the one that is unable to meet the demand just because of its popularity is the cotton bed sheet.

These sheets always promise to give comfort which is essential for a good nights sleep. While purchasing these sheets you must always consider the thread count. Now I can see a question mark on your face. Don’t worry I have an answer to it.

Thread count is the sum total of the number of threads running horizontally and vertically in a square inch of fabric. The quality of these sheets is directly related to the thread count. Quality and thread count goes hand in hand. So higher is the thread count, the more superior is the quality. These two factors again have a direct relationship with the price value.

Cotton sheets with 180-200 thread count stand up to wear and tear, offer satisfactory comfort and are affordable. Sheets where the thread count is 400 will be slightly above average quality. Egyptian sheets have an extremely high thread count resulting in a densely woven sheet. These will always surpass your expectations as these are a real luxury, soft and airy.

So if you want to make your sheet a piece of envy for your friends then just spend some extra bucks on a cotton sheet and see for yourself that the investment is worth for a good nights sleep.
