What Foods Should you Choose for Barbecuing

When someone decides to make a barbecue everyone automatically assumes that there is going to be steak at this barbecue. It doesn’t matter if you are on a camping trip and using your coleman roadtrip gas grill, that is probably one of the most common foods used for barbecuing. In the steak department there are actually a few choices without even moving over to other foods. There is porterhouse or T-bone that most meat eaters love. There are other varieties as well. There is rib steak, shoulder steak, chuck steak, London broil and a few other cuts of meat that you can choose from.

Not everyone, believe it or not wants steak. If you are not camping but are grilling on your built in grill or grill that is not built in that means you are home and you have many more choices when you are cooking near your home as opposed to out in the wilderness. Chicken comes in a close second to steaks. The best kind of chicken to use for a barbecue would be chicken cutlets. Chicken cutlets are when you take off the chicken from the white quarters of the chicken. Many stores sell these already packaged as cutlets so you don’t have to bother pullint the chicken off of the bones yourself.

For people who want to do things a little bit on the cheaper side there are always hot dogs to grill which are favored by children in any case. Offer them an expensive, well grilled steak and some hot dogs and the hot doges will usually win out. Hamburgers are another favorite of children and is also very inexpensive. If you want to get a little exotic peaches and pineapple can be grilled as well. Of course, potatoes can be thrown into the bottom of the grill and if you want to add some good side dishes, then grilled zucchini and eggplant will add a healthy touch to the diner.
